Wrestling Icon Ric Flair Rolls Out Tokenized Sticker Pack on Telegram
Ric Flair enters Web3 scene with tokenized Telegram stickers

Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair has launched a tokenized sticker pack on Telegram, marking his latest foray into the world of crypto and digital engagement. Released on April 9, the sticker collection allows fans to use animated images of Flair’s iconic persona across Telegram chats, and it may soon come with exclusive perks for early holders—though project representatives have yet to provide specific details.
Flair said the move aims to boost community interaction on Telegram, which he described as a “global, fast-moving” platform perfect for showcasing culture and personality. “These stickers are about energy, personality, and culture, and Telegram is the place to bring that to life,” he explained.
This isn't Flair’s first dip into crypto waters. In 2024, he launched the “Wooooo!” memecoin (WOOOOO), inspired by his famous catchphrase. However, the token has seen little activity since launch, with one wallet reportedly holding over 70% of its total supply, according to CoinMarketCap.
Flair’s sticker drop follows the failed crypto attempt of MMA star Conor McGregor, whose REAL token presale earlier this month fell short of its $1 million minimum goal, raising just $392,315. The downturn reflects broader challenges facing memecoins and social tokens, which soared in 2024 but have since lost up to 80% of their value amid a worsening global economy and a retreat from high-risk assets.
While Flair’s initiative taps into fan-driven digital collectibles, the turbulent crypto climate may test its staying power. Still, with a storied career and strong brand, the wrestling icon’s venture could prove more resilient than recent celebrity-led crypto projects.
