Online streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, better known as Amouranth, faced a harrowing ordeal when armed intruders stormed her home, demanding access to her cryptocurrency. The attack, which took place on March 2, involved multiple suspects who reportedly beat Siragusa and held her at gunpoint in an attempt to steal her digital assets.

Authorities have charged four individuals in connection with the crime: Dylan Nesho Campbell, Bryan Anthony Salazar Guerrero, and two minors aged 16 and 17. Campbell, Guerrero, and one of the minors face charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

According to reports, the intruders forced Siragusa to hand over access to her crypto holdings, attempting to use a speakerphone conversation with her husband to breach her security. Aware of the unfolding situation, her husband quickly armed himself and monitored the attack through their home surveillance system.

Siragusa stalled the attackers by pretending to search for a cold storage device. In that crucial moment, she managed to escape upstairs to her husband, who fired three gunshots at the invaders. One of them was likely injured before the group fled as law enforcement arrived.

The attack underscores the growing risks faced by crypto holders, particularly high-profile figures. In 2024, Siragusa publicly disclosed owning 211 Bitcoin, worth over $20 million at the time—making her an attractive target.

This is just the latest in a string of violent crypto-related crimes. Earlier this year, a UK court sentenced a gang for kidnapping and extorting a crypto investor, while Ledger co-founder David Balland was abducted in France for ransom. As digital assets gain mainstream value, physical threats against holders are becoming alarmingly frequent.
