Zerebro dev’s death in question as ‘proof’ surfaces on X
Reports of Zerebro developer Jeffy Yu's suicide during a livestream have been challenged by evidence suggesting it may have been faked. Following the incident on May 4, community members circulated claims of a private message allegedly sent by Yu to an investor, stating he staged the event to escape threats and blackmail. He expressed fears for his safety due to being doxxed and mentioned his intention to exit public life and pursue music anonymously. Additionally, trading activity linked to Yu’s crypto wallets indicates that a significant amount of Zerebro tokens was recently sold and transferred, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his purported demise. Observers also noted that video evidence from the livestream appeared to show signs of editing, further fueling speculation about the authenticity of the event. Yu's alleged suicide followed his release of a manifesto on Legacoins, a new concept detailing specific coin ownership conditions.
