Zerebro dev is reportedly alive and at parents’ house: SF Standard
Jeffy Yu, the Zerebro developer who livestreamed his apparent suicide on May 4, has been confirmed alive by a San Francisco Standard news reporter. On May 8, it was reported that Yu was seen outside his family home, where he declined to comment on the suicide allegations. Instead, he mentioned having PTSD, indicating constant fear of threats due to his public exposure. Initial reports following the livestream suggested Yu's death was legitimate, but varied evidence, including a letter claiming he was alive and transactions from his crypto wallets, undermined those claims. Since the incident, wallets associated with Yu have moved around $1.5 million worth of Zerebro tokens, bolstering the speculation that he is still alive. Yu's situation highlights troubling trends in the crypto community, where numerous physical attacks have been reported since 2014, with an increase in violence directed at individuals involved in the space.
