Xsolla ZK Launches Digital Backpack for Game Developers Using Zero-Knowledge Technology
Xsolla has unveiled its ZK chain on the Sepolia testnet, introducing a ‘digital backpack’ for storing and managing in-game items on-chain. This innovative solution aims to provide game developers and item creators with the ability to store virtual items securely, aligning with familiar economic models while enabling scalability. Senior Vice President Lee Jacobson emphasized the potential for real value creation within the gaming community. The digital backpack will be part of the Elastic Chain constellation, utilizing Ethereum layer-2 Zksync and zk-rollup technology, which relies on cryptographic proofs to validate statements without revealing additional information. Rich Kim from Matter Labs noted the necessity for builders to have reliable infrastructure to develop engaging features for mass usage games. Xsolla's platform has already been instrumental in supporting numerous developers and publishers, indicating their capability to facilitate a smooth transition to Web3 gaming.
