XRP ETF: Here are the funds awaiting SEC approval so far
Franklin Templeton is the latest firm to enter the growing XRP ETF race, filing for a spot XRP ETF on March 11. The ETF aims to track XRP's performance, with assets held at Coinbase Custody Trust. This filing comes amid a flurry of applications, totaling nine firms that have submitted for XRP ETFs in the U.S. Notable participants include Bitwise, which filed its proposal in October 2024, followed by firms like ProShares and Volatility Shares this year. BlackRock, a significant player with a successful Bitcoin ETF, has not yet made an XRP filing. Additionally, certain asset managers have proposed ETFs covering XRP alongside other cryptocurrencies in broader investment trusts. Key firms still absent from the race include Invesco, VanEck, and Fidelity Investments. This surge in XRP ETF proposals indicates heightened interest in the asset even as firms await SEC approval for their offerings.
