Vivago AI recently launched its HiDream-I1 image generator, quickly ranking among the top five models, outperforming established systems and even some closed-source alternatives. Developed by Sparking Innovations Limited, HiDream offers three versions, with the “Full” model delivering the highest quality at 50 rendering steps. It boasts 17 billion parameters, allowing rapid high-quality image generation. Although the Full model requires serious hardware to run, developers have created optimizations for lower-end setups. Access through cloud services is available for users lacking high-end GPUs. Users have begun running tests on the models, with the Full version demonstrating the best performance in human anatomy and artistic representation. The Dev version strikes a balance between quality and speed, while the Fast version, while less accurate, performs surprisingly well in certain aspects. With its open-source MIT license, HiDream offers freedom and adaptability that contrasts with the restrictions of other commercial models.
