Vanar Chain, a layer-1 blockchain network, has introduced Neutron, an artificial intelligence-powered data compression and authentication layer that addresses the problem of on-chain storage within the crypto industry. Neutron boasts compression ratios of up to 500:1, transforming a 25 MB file into a mere 50 KB, which can then be stored on the blockchain. This innovation aims to solve traditional blockchain limitations by enabling fully on-chain storage without relying on third parties, thereby mitigating risks highlighted by recent outages in centralized infrastructure, such as those affecting major exchanges and NFT environments. Vanar Chain's CEO, Jawad Ashraf, emphasizes that Neutron will enable trustless, verifiable data. The launch of Neutron is seen as a critical step in transitioning from 'hosted ownership' to ‘real ownership’ of digital assets, enhancing the capabilities of various blockchain sectors, including DeFi and NFTs.
