US House Advances Digital Asset Market Clarity Bill
Today in crypto, the US House Agriculture Committee overwhelmingly approved the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) with a 47-6 vote, advancing it further in Congress. This legislation aims to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets and clarify which investment vehicles are overseen by the SEC or CFTC. Alongside this vote, the Bank of Japan's (BOJ) upcoming monetary policy meeting could act as a catalyst for a Bitcoin rally if the BOJ restarts quantitative easing. As of June 10, Bitcoin has climbed to $110,150, close to its May peak, buoyed by news that several companies are adding Bitcoin to their corporate treasuries. Notable firms like BitMine Immersion Technologies and KULR Technology have recently bought significant amounts of BTC, indicating growing institutional interest in the cryptocurrency.
