Trump’s Truth Social files for dual Bitcoin and Ether ETF
Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, has filed an S-1 form with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a dual exchange-traded fund (ETF) for Bitcoin and Ether. The filing, made on June 16, intends to provide investors exposure to both Bitcoin and Ether through shares backed by the crypto assets, facilitating investment without the complexities of direct ownership. The trust will hold Bitcoin and Ether as custodian assets, with Foris DAX Trust Company serving as the trustee. While the ETF shares are planned to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange Arca, details regarding the fund’s ticker and cash custodian are yet to be finalized. This filing follows recent approval from the SEC for Trump Media and Technology Group. Although the company indicated no immediate plans for issuing securities under the approved deal, it aims to provide more information regarding the ETF in the future.
