TOOL promises 1-second execution on Ethereum without rollups
TOOL (Trustless Orderflow Operations Layer) is a new middleware solution designed to enhance Ethereum's transaction speed without changing its protocol. It segments Ethereum's 12-second block time into 12 mini-rounds of one second, facilitating sub-second trade confirmations. The system processes order flow off-chain to provide faster execution while maintaining Ethereum’s security and decentralization. TOOL employs Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) for private transaction processing and operates via an auction for transaction inclusion. Unlike other mechanisms, TOOL does not depend on slashing or staking for behavior enforcement. It aims for resilience against hardware compromises and discourages economic barriers to participant entry. The network seeks to be censorship-resistant, built on Ethereum's principles, and minimizes user experience disruption by simply requiring a change of the RPC endpoint. The first product is a decentralized Searcher Network for profitable MEV opportunities. The team has raised $6 million and aims to achieve significant pre-commitment from validators and order flow aggregation within three months.
