Tokenized stocks could top $1T in market cap — Execs
Tokenized stocks are projected to exceed $1 trillion in market capitalization in the coming years, driven by expanding adoption among institutions. During a panel at the TokenizeThis conference in New York, Arnab Naskar, CEO of STOKR, noted that the overall market for these tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) could indeed be much larger than a trillion dollars. With demand particularly soaring in 2025 from a range of financial entities, including Web3 wallets and traditional firms, Anna Wroblewska, Chief Business Officer of Dinari, highlighted a wide interest in these instruments. Currently, tokenized stocks represent around $350 million in cumulative market capitalization, a small fraction of the total RWA market valued over $18 billion. The U.S. stock market's aggregate worth surpasses $50 trillion, suggesting a significant potential for tokenized equities. Wroblewska emphasized the ease and cost-effectiveness of gaining exposure to U.S. markets through tokenization, noting additional demand for tokenized U.S. Treasury Bills with a market cap nearing $6 billion. This trend indicates a shift towards more accessible, efficient trading options in global capital markets.
