TikTok crypto trader freed after kidnappers realized he’s broke

The kidnapping occurred on Friday night as he was returning home to Juvisy-sur-Orge. The traders were forced into a stolen vehicle and suffered physical violence during the ordeal. However, the kidnappers released him the next day after he showed them his low account balance, indicating he could not meet their demands. French authorities are investigating the incident, which is part of a rising trend of crypto-related kidnappings in the country, prompting discussions among security officials and crypto entrepreneurs regarding safety measures. There have been previous incidents of crypto kidnappings in France, including the abduction of a crypto exchange co-founder and another involving a kidnapped entrepreneur's father who suffered severe injuries.
