Telegram’s TON launches scalability platform TON Factory
Telegram’s The Open Network (TON) has introduced TON Factory, a new scalability platform aimed at accelerating the development of high-throughput applications such as decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and blockchain-based games. The announcement, made on April 30, emphasizes that TON Factory will support developers with modular components, integration tools, and expert assistance. This initiative is backed by over 150 engineers who have extensive experience in building production-ready infrastructure within the TON ecosystem. The platform utilizes Broxus’ Tycho protocol, which integrates a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) consensus mechanism with the Telegram Virtual Machine (TVM), boasting a performance of up to 35,000 transactions per second (TPS). This capability places TON Factory in a competitive position against existing layer-1 and layer-2 solutions. Additionally, the platform allows for custom TVM chain deployments and tailored scaling solutions, providing further support for innovative teams in the ecosystem. As of now, the native cryptocurrency of TON is trading at $3.22, reflecting a slight decrease of about 1% in the past 24 hours.
