TapSwap, a tap-to-earn game on Telegram, has decided to launch its TAPS token on the Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain) instead of The Open Network (TON), moving away from a previous exclusivity agreement with Telegram. Originally expected to launch in January, the token release was postponed at the request of a decentralized exchange, aiming for improved market conditions. Following the completion of its first gameplay season on February 6, TapSwap announced the new launch date for February 14 on BNB. The decision is said to enhance speed, security, and accessibility for users. Players will earn tokens according to their engagement levels, but the project plans to evolve from its initial tap-to-earn format. Despite a prior agreement mandating the use of TON for crypto-integrated Telegram mini games, TapSwap and other similar projects, like Farm Frens, are proceeding with launches on different chains, highlighting a potential deviation from established partnerships.
