YeagerAI is developing GenLayer, a protocol that employs AI models as judges, aiming to create a speedy and neutral arbitration system for on-chain disputes in the cryptocurrency space. This system enables platforms like prediction markets and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) to rely on swift, impartial third-party decision-making. GenLayer operates on a blockchain with a network of validators connected to large language models (LLMs) to resolve disputes. When a controversial case arises, a random group of validators queries their selected LLMs and votes on a ruling, which can be appealed for a more extensive adjudication involving more validators. Utilizing Condorcet's Jury Theorem, the chance of an accurate outcome increases with more validators. The average ruling takes about 100 seconds, and the decision becomes final in 30 minutes. GenLayer's structure prevents collusion among validators and incentivizes correct decision-making as validators are rewarded for being on the winning side. With a testnet launched, GenLayer is expected to go live by the end of 2025, encouraging innovative applications atop its infrastructure.
