A solo Bitcoin miner has achieved a significant milestone by mining block 883,181, which granted them a reward of 3.125 Bitcoin valued at over $300,000. This block, mined on February 10, was attributed to an unknown miner using an implementation of the CKPOOL, though it is speculated they might have employed Bitaxe for solo mining. With the current Bitcoin hashrate at 788.86M, there are challenges for solo miners due to increased energy costs and verification times. Despite rare occurrences of solo mining success, larger firms dominate the space with substantial hash power. The Bitcoin ecosystem is recovering from a recent dip linked to US trade tensions, currently trading above $98,000, although it has not yet reached its previous all-time high of over $100,000 achieved before Donald Trump's inauguration in 2024. More than 19 million Bitcoins have already been awarded to miners, emphasizing the limited supply of 21 million Bitcoin in total.
