Solana Labs plans to launch its second-generation Seeker phone on August 4, 2025, along with the introduction of a new token, SKR, which will be key to the Solana Mobile ecosystem. The SKR token is designed to enhance the economy, incentives, and ownership within the ecosystem, aligning users, developers, and hardware manufacturers to promote growth in the web3 mobile space. Additionally, a new architectural framework called TEEPIN, which stands for Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network, will be implemented. This decentralized framework will facilitate secure interactions among users, devices, and developers, redefining trust through cryptography rather than central authorities. The Seeker phone follows the earlier model, Saga, which faced low sales but has set a foundation for the new mobile initiative. Solana's mobile team has announced that over 150,000 units of the Seeker phone have already been anticipated.
