Pump.fun has launched its own decentralized exchange (DEX), PumpSwap, designed to compete with Raydium, aiming to enhance the token migration experience. Previously, tokens on Pump.fun would migrate to Raydium upon reaching a market cap of $100,000, a process that could take minutes to hours. PumpSwap aims to streamline this process, offering zero migration fees and instant migrations for its tokens. This launch coincides with growing tensions between Pump.fun and Raydium, as the former has facilitated approximately 70% of Solana network transactions recently. Furthermore, Pump.fun plans to implement a revenue-sharing model for project creators in the coming weeks, promising greater liquidity and potential earnings for developers. The DEX has already listed major tokens, including Pudgy Penguins’ PENGU and the USDC stablecoin. This development marks a significant shift in the Solana ecosystem as it positions Pump.fun against former ally Raydium.
