Semler Scientific has purchased 167 Bitcoins worth $16.2 million between April 30 and May 2, increasing its Bitcoin treasury to a total of 3,634 Bitcoins valued at approximately $342 million. This acquisition is the company’s third purchase exceeding $10 million within a span of 10 days. Semler Scientific began its Bitcoin buying strategy last year and has since amassed a significant digital asset portfolio. The average purchase price of this latest acquisition was approximately $97,093 per Bitcoin, while the average price for its existing holdings was reported at $88,668 as of May 2. Despite slight fluctuations in the stock market, Semler’s stock has risen by around 23% since the commencement of its Bitcoin acquisitions. During an investor event in New York, Semler’s CEO reaffirmed the company’s commitment to holding Bitcoin long-term, suggesting that short-term price declines wouldn't trigger a sell-off of their holdings.
