Securitize, Mantle launch institutional crypto fund
Securitize has partnered with Mantle to launch the Mantle Index Four (MI4) Fund, targeting institutional investors by providing yield on a diversified basket of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana, as well as US dollar-pegged stablecoins. This fund will also utilize liquid staking tokens, such as Mantle’s mETH, to enhance returns through onchain yield. The MI4 Fund aims to function like a traditional index fund, making it easier for institutions to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency market. With the increasing interest among both retail and institutional investors, particularly toward Bitcoin, this fund hopes to position itself as a significant player in the crypto space. As of the announcement, Mantle's liquid staking product offers a yield of approximately 3.78% APR. Notably, Securitize dominates the institutional tokenization market, holding around 71% market share, and its affiliated BlackRock Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund has over $2.5 billion in net assets. This move is part of a broader trend where financial institutions are ramping up their engagement with digital assets.
