Rumble wallet rolls out with Tether’s USDT for creator payments
Rumble, a Canadian video streaming platform, has announced the launch of its wallet that supports Tether’s USDT stablecoin for content creator payments. CEO Chris Pavlovski revealed on March 26 that the Rumble Wallet aims to enhance creator monetization, asserting that it will perform better than traditional advertising methods. This initiative follows Tether's $775 million investment in Rumble made in late 2024, which highlighted Tether's commitment to financial and speech freedoms. Rumble was designed as an alternative to YouTube, catering to small content creators, and has experienced substantial user growth since 2020, reaching nearly 32 million users by early 2021. The platform has attracted significant venture capital, notably from high-profile backers including US Vice President J.D. Vance and former PayPal CEO Peter Thiel. Rumble also established a partnership with the Trump Media and Technology Group to support the development of a cloud service for Truth Social. The two companies continue to collaborate amid ongoing discussions about censorship and content moderation.
