HashKey Capital has launched a fund tracking the performance of XRP, aimed at fostering institutional adoption in Asia. The HashKey XRP Tracker Fund, which became available to institutional investors recently, is the outcome of a collaboration between HashKey Capital and Ripple Labs, with Ripple serving as an anchor investor. XRP, a prominent cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of $121 billion, is designed for transactions within the Ripple network. The token has recently experienced significant growth, currently trading at $2.08. Vivien Wong from HashKey Capital emphasized that the fund simplifies access to this innovative cryptocurrency, catering to increasing demand for investment in digital assets. This fund is the third digital asset fund launched by HashKey, following its BTC and ETH ETFs. Its introduction comes amid efforts by Asian crypto firms to attract institutional investments after Hong Kong regulators approved spot BTC and ETH ETFs in 2024.
