Playing Web3 games with one wallet still the vision — The Sandbox
Arthur Madrid, co-founder of The Sandbox, reaffirmed that wallet interoperability remains central to the vision of Web3 gaming. In an interview with Cointelegraph, he emphasized that players should be able to use one wallet to play various games and consolidate their in-game earnings. Madrid mentioned that despite current market slowdowns, the Web3 gaming sector is thriving, with more accessible tools for game creation leading to an increase in new games. He highlighted the need for a standout game that could ignite broader adoption of Web3 technologies in gaming. Meanwhile, The Sandbox’s COO, Sebastien Borget, observed a shift in the NFT landscape toward more mature applications, driven by consumer demand for practical use cases of digital assets such as virtual land and avatars. This underscores a growing expectation for NFTs to offer added value beyond their initial appeal, reflecting the evolving nature of digital asset utility in gaming and beyond.
