Pipe Network cuts Solana sync time by 30% for some validators
Pipe Network, from Permissionless Labs, has revealed significant improvements in Solana node synchronization times through its decentralized content delivery network (CDN). The service reportedly enables node initialization to be 30% faster, while handling roughly 100 TB of snapshot traffic daily. Validators utilize these snapshots to quickly restore state after outages or other issues without needing full reprocessing. Traditional download methods from community-run servers have proven inadequate as the need for efficient snapshot access grows. Pipe's infrastructure alleviates the bandwidth burden, ensuring continuous access to critical data. The snapshots, which can be obtained through a user-friendly interface, come with verification features to ensure data integrity, all free of charge, funded by the Pipe Foundation. This solution is vital as Solana continues its rapid growth.
