OpenSea unveils SEA token and new version of its exchange
OpenSea has confirmed the launch of a new token called SEA, aimed at recognizing active users and early adopters. This announcement accompanies the release of OS2, an open beta version of its token marketplace, which will feature not only NFTs but also memecoins and a variety of tokens. The SEA token will support the Seaport Protocol, although its release date remains unspecified. OS2 introduces enhancements such as cross-chain purchasing, aggregated listings, and improved analytics. It also includes an experience points (XP) system, which allows users to earn rewards without the potential for trading or transferring cryptocurrency. While there were some rumors about restrictions for U.S. users regarding the SEA token, OpenSea clarified that it will indeed be available for U.S.-based users. The company has also dismissed misinformation circulating on social media about its launch and terms of use.
