Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be launched in North America on June 5, 2025. The new console will feature a 7.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080p and support for 120 frames per second. It will come with 256GB of internal storage and support for microSD Express cards. The Switch 2 will maintain compatibility with original Switch games and will introduce a GameChat feature for online interactions among players. One of the highlight games at launch will be 'Mario Kart World', which promises larger tracks, 24 drivers, and new gameplay elements such as weather conditions and a Free Roam mode. Other notable games expected for the Switch 2 include enhanced versions of 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' and 'Tears of the Kingdom', as well as upcoming titles like 'Metroid Prime 4: Beyond' and 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A'. Additionally, a new Hyrule Warriors game is set to be released in the winter of 2026.
