Fermion Protocol has begun fractionalizing a Dolce & Gabbana digital suit purchased for $1 million. This suit, known as the Glass Suit and part of the _Collezione Genesi_, was initially sold by Boson Protocol in 2021, which included a physical suit created in eight months and its digital counterpart. Boson founder Justin Banon, now leading Fermion, plans to fractionalize and tokenize physical luxury assets. Banon noted that fractionalization could address the disconnect luxury consumers feel between exclusivity and accessibility, especially as a small fraction of customers drive a significant portion of luxury sales. To celebrate the launch, Fermion will airdrop fragments of the Glass Suit to various Web3 fashion communities, utilizing a decentralized AI commerce agent. The physical suit is currently held by Dolce & Gabbana in Milan. Boson Protocol, providing infrastructure for tokenizing real-world assets, saw its token, BOSON, drop significantly from its peak. Fermion aims to launch its own token in Q3 2025.
