Metaplanet has announced the acquisition of an additional 330 BTC, increasing its total holdings to over 4,855 BTC, valued at roughly $420 million. This purchase was made as Bitcoin's price surged past $87,300, marking Metaplanet's third acquisition of Bitcoin this month and securing its position as the tenth-largest public holder of the asset. While broader markets have faced instability, with U.S. equities losing significant value due to tariff concerns, Bitcoin has remained relatively resilient, only falling about 6%. Metaplanet's stocks have also experienced a slight increase of nearly 0.9% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange since the announcement. In a related development, Japanese fashion brand ANAP Holdings has purchased approximately 16.6591 BTC for around $1.4 million, intending to monitor its holdings closely for quarterly assessments of gains or losses.
