Meet Olto: The $3,500 E-Scooter Gunning to Be the iPhone of Micromobility
Infinite Machine has unveiled the Olto, a $3,495 electric scooter designed to be street-legal without a motorcycle license. The scooter features a 750W motor, a 40-mile range on a single charge, a removable battery, and smart technology including Bluetooth unlocking and GPS. Following their first high-priced model, the Olto aims to offer a more affordable and practical option for commuters, particularly designed for bike lanes. It supports over-the-air firmware updates and comes with modular accessories such as cargo racks and child carriers. The company has raised $9 million from Andreessen Horowitz and hopes that this vehicle, unlike previous micromobility ventures, will establish a sustainable market for personal electric scooters in U.S. cities.
