MapleStory N launches in 2 weeks — but not in the USA
MapleStory N, the upcoming crypto spinoff of the popular MMORPG, is set to launch on May 15, 2025. However, it will be unavailable in the US, much of Europe, Japan, and South Korea due to regulatory restrictions. Players from over 50 countries, including major gaming markets, will not have access to the game, which utilizes its own Avalanche L1 for decentralized item trading. During the prelaunch period, approximately 506,000 users registered, though the game will now face limitations in reaching significant Western and Asian audiences due to its restricted availability. The absence of these key regions could hinder its financial success, as they comprise a considerable portion of the gaming market. Despite these challenges, the game promises built-in anti-cheat features and robust security infrastructure, hoping to attract players from the allowed regions. MapleStory N is anticipated to be a 2D sidescrolling MMORPG similar to its predecessor, with features allowing for player engagement through item trading, skill selection, and guild participation.
