Shoppers will use QR codes powered by DFX Swiss’s OpenCryptoPay platform at checkout. This rollout marks one of the first major retail integrations of Bitcoin payments in Switzerland, following pilot tests in Zug. The initiative aims to make cryptocurrency a staple for everyday transactions. The director of the Bitcoin Association Switzerland praised the ease of the payment method, indicating that if widely adopted, it could expand throughout the country.
