Magic Eden has launched Season 2 of its ME token rewards campaign, aimed at incentivizing user engagement on its platform. Users can earn rewards by staking ME tokens, trading NFTs, Runes, Ordinals, or linking their crypto wallets. The update includes a redesigned leaderboard and criteria for rewards based on staking power and trading volume. In Season 1, which concluded on March 31, a total of 10 million ME tokens were distributed, currently valued at about $8 million. The CEO of Magic Eden, Jack Lu, expressed confidence in the long-term potential of NFTs, noting the company’s profitability amidst a bearish market. Season 2 will conclude in mid-August, with top participants being rewarded at that time. Despite the competition with platforms like OpenSea and Tensor, Magic Eden continues to perform well, particularly with Solana-based NFTs, which dominate its trading activity over Ethereum-based assets.
