Ledger has introduced a new hardware wallet, the Ledger Flex Solana Edition, specifically for the Solana community. This device is similar in technical features to the standard Ledger Flex, which was released in July 2024, yet it boasts a unique blue and green color scheme. What sets this edition apart is its inclusion of a Soulbound Token (SBT), a non-transferable token indicating membership within the Solana community. The device launches in four phases, with early access providing existing Solana SBT holders with a potential rebate of $70 in SOL. Subsequent phases will offer different rewards and access criteria. Additionally, the wallet features a self-custody cold storage system, an E Ink touchscreen, and Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, ensuring both safety and modern functionality. This new product reflects Ledger's strategy to engage with the Solana community and enhance user experience by incorporating unique aspects of Web3. In a related development, the second-generation Solana phone, Solana Seeker, will also offer unique token incentives to its users later this year.
