Today in crypto, the Lazarus Group, suspected of the $1.4 billion Bybit hack, may be involved in recent Solana memecoin scams, as revealed by on-chain investigator ZachXBT. The $1.08 million in hacked funds were traced to Solana's Pump.fun platform, prompting concerns. Despite calls to roll back the Ethereum network to its state before the Bybit hack on Feb. 21, Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko warned against this, citing the complexity and ramifications of such actions. Bybit has announced a bounty program of up to 10% of the stolen funds, approximately $140 million, for white hat hackers who assist in recovering the funds. CEO Ben Zhou indicated that the exchange is exploring several avenues to retrieve the stolen crypto, including collaboration with law enforcement and discussions with Ethereum Foundation's Vitalik Buterin. Meanwhile, Tether has frozen 181,000 USDT as part of their response.
