A new memecoin named DOGSHIT2, which reached a market cap of over $23 million, has drawn significant attention after being linked to the legal firm Burwick Law, which filed a class-action lawsuit against the creator of the Solana-based memecoin Pump.fun. Investors accuse Pump.fun of facilitating unregistered securities that yielded roughly $500 million in fees. The lawsuit represents investors' claims against the token's former creator. In an interesting turn, the address connected to DOGSHIT2 was identified in the court documents, leading speculators to posit that the law firms may have launched this coin to bolster their legal claims. The token's trading volume and price surged after the lawsuit announcement, hitting its peak on January 31, but has since dropped back to approximately $2.4 million. The price reached an all-time high just after, before incurring a 34% loss. The legal firms involved did not respond to requests for comment on the matter.
