Last year's viral meme coins are experiencing significant gains as the cryptocurrency market recovers, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum showing marked increases. Notable Solana-based tokens, Moo Deng (MOODENG) and Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT), surged by 143% and 55% respectively within 24 hours, fueled by trading volumes exceeding $900 million. Despite these gains, both tokens remain significantly below their all-time highs. Other meme coins like Fwog (FWOG), Unicorn Fart Dust (UFD), and Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) have also enjoyed sharp rises, with increases of 37%, 45%, and 48% respectively. This resurgence follows a period of skepticism regarding the viability of Solana meme coins, but has been buoyed by the broader market recovery led by Ether and Solana, which have seen gains of approximately 27% and 15% in recent weeks. Alon Cohen, co-founder of a Solana token launchpad, believes memecoins will endure, particularly as major crypto assets stabilize and gain value.
