The scam involved a token with the ticker MEOW, which reportedly ballooned to a $30 million market cap within moments before being deleted. Similarly, Mohamad's account promoted a token named MALAYSIA, which soared to $3.4 million market cap before crashing to $153,000. Traders incurred significant losses, with estimates running into millions. The incident highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in social media platforms, especially with notable individuals being targeted for scams.
