HIVE Digital Technologies is focusing on Paraguay as a long-term partner for its low-cost hydro energy and political stability. CEO Aydin Kilic stated that HIVE is not just pursuing short-term gains but aims to strengthen its presence in Latin America. The company has acquired Bitfarms' 200 MW Yguazú facility and plans to expand its mining capabilities to 300 MW by 2025. HIVE is committed to fostering local relationships, hiring, training, and working with policymakers to ensure a supportive environment for cryptocurrency mining. With data centers already in Canada and Sweden, HIVE is also relocating its headquarters to Texas to diversify its operations. Kilic emphasized that profitability in Bitcoin mining is determined by managing costs, energy efficiency, and equipment uptime, rather than simply increasing the number of mining rigs.
