Grayscale files S-3 for Digital Large Cap ETF
Grayscale has filed for an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that involves a diverse portfolio of spot cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Cardano. This filing was submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 1, aiming to convert the existing Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund into an ETF. As of this date, the fund manages over $600 million in assets but is only accessible to accredited investors. This move follows a previous request from NYSE Arca to list the Grayscale index fund. The filing comes at a time when ETF issuers are looking to launch crypto products, especially after a recent shift in regulatory stances towards digital assets by US regulators. Experts consider crypto index ETFs to be the next logical step for Wall Street, providing a similar investment approach to traditional index ETFs like the S&P 500.
