Bitcoin and the broader crypto market experienced significant price drops over the weekend, largely attributed to concerns surrounding delayed tariffs on Mexico and Canada. While the market has shown signs of recovery, gaming tokens were notably affected. Immutable’s IMX token declined by 14% from Sunday to Monday and is down approximately 26% over the week. Other tokens, including SAND, GALA, Ronin, and others, faced similar losses ranging from 21% to 30%. Meanwhile, Notcoin's token dropped by about 35%, and PIXEL fell roughly 32%. On a brighter note, some tokens like Sui and Sweat Economy recorded minimal losses or gains. The closure of the crypto shooter game Deadrop, developed by Midnight Society, reflects ongoing challenges in the gaming sector, exacerbated by past controversies surrounding its co-founder, Dr. Disrespect. Despite its potential, the studio announced its shutdown without disclosing specific reasons, urging the gaming community to assist its laid-off developers.
