FIFA is migrating its FIFA Collect NFT collectibles platform to its own dedicated Avalanche-based blockchain, moving away from Algorand and Polygon. This transition aims to enhance the platform's ability to deliver unique digital collectibles centered on international soccer, leveraging Avalanche's speed, scalability, and compatibility with Ethereum's virtual machine. CEO Francesco Abbate emphasized that this change aligns with FIFA's growth vision and technical needs for a robust digital ecosystem.
