The FBI has initiated the seizure of $1.2 million in Bitcoin from Michael Pratt, the operator of the GirlsDoPorn website, who was arrested in 2022 for sex trafficking. Pratt had illegally recruited women for adult films with false promises of privacy, ultimately generating around $17 million in revenue from the site. Following his arrest as a fugitive in Spain, authorities filed a forfeiture order against him and his accomplices in July 2024, targeting three Bitcoin wallets containing 8.13 BTC. The FBI has already seized a portion of these funds. Pratt's criminal activity included recruiting hundreds of young women under deceptive pretenses and violating their consent during filming. His site was shut down after a court ordered compensation of $12.8 million to victims. Although Pratt maintains his innocence with a not guilty plea, he awaits trial set to start in September 2025 after extradition to the U.S. in March 2024.
