Staked Ethereum has reached a record high as its price surged to $2,700 amid increased institutional accumulation. A total of 34.65 million ETH is now staked on the Beacon Chain, representing almost 30% of the current circulating supply of Ether. The staking level remained stable above 33 million for the past year but saw a noticeable increase in June. The growth in staking suggests more holders are choosing to earn yield rather than sell at current prices. The milestone coincides with anticipation regarding the approval of spot Ether ETF staking by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Analysts expect staked Ether ETFs could debut soon following recent filings. Over the past two years, the amount of Ethereum staked has surged by 77%, contrasting with a modest 50% price gain, but ETH recently regained momentum, breaking the $2,700 resistance after a fortnight.
