ZKcandy, a new Ethereum layer-2 network focused on mobile gaming, has officially launched its mainnet after a successful testnet phase that attracted 2.46 million wallet creations. Co-founded by iCandy Interactive and Matter Labs, ZKcandy harnesses Ethereum scaling technology to facilitate blockchain-based mobile gaming. Following a $4 million seed funding round led by Wemix and Animoca Ventures, ZKcandy debuted with eight games, including highlights like Pepe Kingdom and Sugar Rush. The network aims to integrate blockchain with AI to enhance gaming experiences through unscripted storytelling and dynamic NPCs. ZKcandy plans to spur growth by allocating 5% of its native token for promotional activities and establishing a grant program for developers. ZKcandy CEO Kin Wai Lau emphasized the importance of connecting mobile gaming with Web3 technology, underlining a commitment to creating accessible and engaging gaming environments for users in the blockchain realm.
