Ethereum Foundation distributed $32.6M grants to ecosystem in Q1
The Ethereum Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting Ethereum blockchain development, distributed $32.6 million in grants during Q1 2025. The funds were allocated through its Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) to various initiatives, including community and educational grants, zero-knowledge technology, developer tools, and overall ecosystem growth. Of the 101 awarded grants, 32 focused on education and community initiatives, benefiting content creators and conference organizers like ETHPrague and ETHiopia. Meanwhile, 16 projects aimed to enhance developer experiences and tools, while 14 grants targeted cryptography and zero-knowledge proof projects. Other allocations included execution layer projects, consensus layer enhancements, and various ecosystem support mechanisms. Notably, 13 grants fell under diverse categories such as DeFi, DApps, and stablecoin infrastructure.
