EigenLayer has enhanced its integrations with Mantle Network and ZKsync, adopting EigenDA for data availability and integrating EigenLayer’s Autonomous Verifiable Services (AVSs) for decentralized zk proving. These partnerships expand EigenLayer's role in Ethereum's modular security landscape and significantly increase its total value locked (TVL) to approximately $9.4 billion, outpacing Symbiotic’s $1 billion. EigenLayer enjoys a larger TVL due in part to the absence of slashing on its mainnet, allowing more risk-averse validators to participate without the fear of losing their stake. Conversely, Symbiotic's mainnet includes slashing, making its model less attractive to some participants. Mantle Network has improved its data availability by integrating EigenDA, gaining enhanced scalability and an expanded validator set. ZKsync is also leveraging EigenDA for scalable data storage, moving away from centralized providers, and integrating EigenLayer AVSs to optimize zk proving costs. These developments point toward EigenLayer's growing influence and the increasing demand for modular blockchain infrastructure.
