Eat Other Snake, Take Their Money: Slither.io Solana Clone Goes Viral
Noodle.gg, a crypto-inspired version of Slither.io, has gained attention for allowing players to earn Solana by consuming other players' snakes. Created by Alex Leiman, the game requires an entry fee in Solana, with the unique twist that players win the Solana wagered by their opponents when they eliminate them. Following its launch, Noodle attracted 1,000 active users within just two hours and saw over $75,000 in crypto flow on its first day. The associated meme token, NOODLE, skyrocketed to a market cap nearly reaching $20 million within 14 hours, although it has since stabilized around $14.4 million. Critics, however, have called out the game for its lack of originality, likening it to other unoriginal crypto products. Players can cash out their earnings through a Solana address but should be cautious, as the platform reserves the right to enforce cash-out limitations and monitor for cheating, which could result in forfeiture of earnings.
