Decentralized OORT AI data hits top ranks on Google Kaggle
OORT, a decentralized AI solution provider, achieved success on Kaggle, a data science platform, with its Diverse Tools data set, which was released in April and climbed to the first page in multiple categories. Ramkumar Subramaniam from OpenLedger noted that a front-page ranking indicates strong engagement from data science communities. Max Li, CEO of OORT, observed promising metrics validating early demand for their training data, emphasizing that community-driven models can distribute and engage quickly without centralized intermediaries. The data set reached the top of categories such as General AI and Engineering but lost ranks following updates in early May. Subramaniam cautioned that ranking does not guarantee enterprise-grade quality but underscores the significance of provenance and incentives in data. He stated that verifiable, community-sourced datasets are increasingly essential as high-quality image data becomes scarce due to concerns like image poisoning by artists. Overall, such decentralized initiatives can contribute to the evolution of AI data curation.
