Dao5 Raises $222M Fund to Invest in Blockchain Projects
Crypto investment firm Dao5 has raised $222 million, increasing its total assets under management to $550 million. This fund will focus on blockchain projects aimed at institutional and government adoption, including on-chain public infrastructure and stablecoin systems. Founded in 2022 by Tekin Salimi, Dao5 has previously invested in projects like Story Protocol and Bittensor. Salimi noted that the industry is moving away from pure speculation to the actual integration of blockchain into various systems. The new fund's focus includes state-sovereign artificial intelligence and novel stablecoin systems. Notably, Dao5 plans to transform its fund into a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) later this year, emphasizing broader participation in its investment strategy. The firm aims to expand its team by adding experienced partners to aid in this transition.
